I’ve become a fan of searching around my home for things I already have when it comes to cards, tags, and of course wrapping paper. I love to buy those things, but a certain satisfaction comes from using what I have, so here’s what I came up with when I had to wrap up four 8-inch wreaths, which can be difficult to do. Here’s what you need: brown postal wrap or craft paper, red thread, a sewing machine, a hole punch, and some ribbon.

Measure out the width that you need. Make sure it is twice the height of the item you need to wrap,
as well as a little extra for breathing room.

Fold it in half, and press with your fingers. This will leave three sides open.

Stitch with your sewing machine from the fold, up both sides. I didn’t know you could sew paper until recently.

Then put your gift inside and stitch across the top. This enables that there will be no peeking.

Trim the edges with decorative scissors, up both sides and then across the top.

Isn’t it sweet? I wish I would’ve remembered to take a picture of the finished product, but I punched 2 holes in the top, tied some pretty ribbon, and tied on a brown tag stamped with a vintage Santa to personalize it. It was a huge hit.
