Every year, my sister Jessica and I have big plans to get together in the Summer and make at least one Christmas decoration to add to our stash. Somehow it never happens. So, even though both of us were busy, we came together to make a Christmas banner.
I came across this one, and thought it was simple and perfect for my home, so we decided to design something similar for Christmas.
It began with burlap squares (6” x 8”), trim, red felt, and letters in a font we loved (Kingthings Organica):

The whole project cost $8 and took about 2 hours from start to finish. A little rustic, but that’s like our house – it would be easy to make one a little more refined for more formal settings.
